Kirke Hundevad Meng
focuses on language
as cargo,
inherited
learned
acquired
A part of one’s language will always be foreign, and this foreignness enshrouds a potent, blind spot within the otherwise familiar material. Meng pursues this blind spot by literally highlighting these enshrouded areas.
Juxtaposing visual and linguistic systems, Meng employs the physical and metaphorical realms like mirrors of each other. Dragging familiar material from one side into the blind spot, Meng looks for ways these spaces can mutually rearticulate each other.
